Jose Orozco recently performed as part of The Electric Company Theatre’s summer repertory company as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet and Peter/Tybalt in Shakespeare in Love. He was also a part of Shakespeare Orange County’s production of Zoot Suit where he played Joey. He studied at Fullerton College where he got his degree in acting. Other credits include Slank in Peter and the Starcatcher at the Curtis Theatre, Andrew in Beyond Therapy at the Modjeska Playhouse and Beethoven in Dog Sees God at STAGES Theatre.

This is Nic's second time performing for OC-Centric, and he's just as excited to get back into the work for this piece. He thanks you all for coming to watch, and hopes he's able to leave you with a thought-provoking, yet enjoyable piece.

Sara (she/hers) is a CalArts alum, is a professional, versatile theater artist whose mission is to model, share, and create theatre-making opportunities. She is the founding artistic director of Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble, Sara and the group are artists-in-residence of CSU Fullerton’s Grand Central Arts Center in downtown Santa Ana. As a freelance director, she’s staged works for theatres and universities across the east coast, south and Midwest. Last season: The Wolves (CSUF), Native Gardens (Chapman University), and HECUBA (The Road Theatre). This season she’ll stage Electricidad (CSU Long Beach) and Sweetheart Deal (UC Irvine). Jon Lance Duran

Jon Lance Duran is happy to be back at OC-Centric New Play Festival for the second time since 2017. He’s a former member of The Urban Theatre Movement and has appeared in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Massacre: Sing To Your Children, Short Eyes and Autobahn. Jon has also worked on various indie/film projects in front of and behind the camera. Jon is honored to have been chosen for this elevated reading of The House of Flightless Birds and hopes to do justice to the amazing words of the playwright.
